Popular Ned

Bill and Ned walk into a fast food joint one afternoon to get lunch. Bill orders and the cashier gives him his meal. Ned goes up to order and the cashier greets him with “Hello Ned! How are you? Hey everybody! Ned’s here!” Everybody in the restaurant comes up and says hello to Ned. After everyone has greeted him, Bill and Ned sit down and begin to eat.

“Ned, you’re pretty popular!” says Bill.

“I’m the most popular man in the world,” says Ned.

“Now Ned,” says Bill, you’re pretty popular but you’re not the most popular man in the world.”

“Oh yeah,” Ned replies “I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that I’m friends with anybody you can name!”

“That so?” answers Bill, “How about the president of the United States?”

“Let’s go!” says Ned.

The two fly to Washington and knock on the front door of the White House. The president answers, “Ned! How are you doing? I haven’t seen you in ages!” The three go play a round of golf and then leave.

“That was luck!” says Bill, “Two thousand says your not friends with the Queen of England!”

“Let’s go!” says Ned.

The two fly to Buckingham Palace and, sure enough, are greeted by the Queen. ”Hello Ned my boy! What have you been up to these days?” They enter the palace and have some tea and leave.

Frustrated, Bill says, “Double or nothing, you don’t know the Pope!”

Ned says, “Let’s go!”

When they get to the Vatican, Ned instructs Bill to wait outside and Ned will come out on the balcony with his arm around the Pope. After a while, a crowd gathers to hear the Pope speak. And as told by Ned, when the Pope came out, Ned’s arm was wrapped around him. Ned looks down from the balcony and see’s Bill passed out on the ground. He rushes down and wakes him up.

“Bill! Bill! Wake up!”

Bill opens his eyes and says, “Ned. You’re the most popular man in the world.”

“I told you that, Bill,” says Ned, “but you didn’t faint when I knew the President! You didn’t faint when I knew the Queen!”

“I could almost take it that you knew the Pope,” says Bill. “But I just couldn’t take it when the guy next to me tapped me on the shoulder and said “Who’s that up there with Ned?”

Torpedo

During World War II, an American warship was attacked by the Japanese. A torpedo was heading towards the ship and a hit seemed inevitable.

So the captain told the navigator to go down to the crew quarters and tell a joke or something – at least they would die laughing.

The navigator went down and said to the crew, “What would you think if I could split the whole ship in two by hitting my dick against the table?”

The crew burst laughing. So the navigator pulled his dick out and whammed it on the table.

Just when the dick hit the table, a huge explosion tore the ship apart. The only survivors were the captain and the navigator.

As they floated around in a lifeboat captain asked the navigator, “Well, the crew really laughed. What did you do?” The navigator told him.

The captain replied, “Well, you better be careful with that dick of yours. The torpedo missed!”

Departed Grandmother

A Mexican woman goes to the local psychic in hopes of contacting her dearly departed grandmother. The psychic’s eyelids begin fluttering, her voice begins warbling, her hands float up above the table, and she begins moaning. Eventually, a coherent voice emanates, saying, “Granddaughter? Are you there?”

The customer, wide-eyed and on the edge of her seat, She responds, “Grandmother? Is that you?”

“Yes granddaughter, it’s me.”

“It’s really, really you, grandmother?”, the woman repeats.

“Yes, it’s really me, granddaughter.”

The woman looks puzzled, “You’re sure it’s you, grandmother?”

“Yes, granddaughter, I’m sure it’s me.”

The woman pauses a moment, “Grandmother, I have just one question for you.”

“Anything, my child.”

“Grandmother, when did you learn to speak English?”

Not His Day

A young, lonely guy driving across the country decided to pick
up a stunning, blonde hitchhiker. A few miles into the trek, the
blonde started coming onto him, so needless to say, he pulled
over to the side of the desolate, deserted road so she could
give him some oral pleasure. Once his pants were down to his
ankles, the blonde surprised him with a gun and bound his wrists
to his ankles. Then, she robbed him of his wallet and clothes,
and drove off with his car.

Once she was out of sight, the man struggled to his feet and
began hopping alongside the road in a desperate attempt to get
something’s help.

A short time later, a trucker pulled up alongside the troubled
man. “What happened to you?” asked the trucker, with a grin. The
man explained his plight… The trucker stepped down from his
truck, and as he unzipped his pants he remarked, “This just
ain’t been your day, has it boy!”

Cab Driver Incident

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped centimeters from a shop window. For a second, everything went quiet in the cab, then the driver said, “Look mate, don’t ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!”

The passenger apologized and said he didn’t realize that a little tap could scare him so much.

The driver replied, “Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver – I’ve been driving a hearse for the last 25 years.”

Plane Crash

An airplane full of a shipment of Pepsi flying over Africa had a malfunction, and went down.

A few weeks later, Pepsi Company sent a rescue plane. They searched the area and found a tribe of cannibals.

They walked up to the Chief of the tribe and asked him if he knew anything about the crash.

The Chief said, “Yeah.” When asked where the crew was, the Chief replied, “We ate the crew, and we drank the Pepsi.” The Rescue crew were shocked.

One man asked, “Did you eat their legs?” The chief replied, “We ate their legs, and we drank the Pepsi”

Another rescuer asked, “Did you eat their arms?” The Chief said, “We ate their arms, and we drank the Pepsi.”

After looking totally perplexed for a minute, a third asked, “Did you.. you know…eat their…’things’??”

The chief says, “No.”

“No?” asked the rescuer.

“No,” replied the Chief, “THINGS go better with Coke.”

Where is this place?

A man and his wife were driving their Recreational Vehicle across the country and were nearing a town spelled Kissimee. They noted the strange spelling and tried to figure how to pronounce it – KISS-a-me; kis-A-me; kis-a-ME. They grew more perplexed as they drove into the town. Since they were hungry, they pulled into a place to get something to eat. At the counter, the man said to the waitress: “My wife and I can’t seem to be able to figure out how to pronounce this place. Will you tell me where we are and say it very slowly so that I can understand.” The waitress looked at him and said: “Buuurrrgerrr Kiiiinnnng.”

Company cost cutting

New Corporate Cost-Cutting Policy Due to the current financial situation, changes will be made to the Business Travel standards and Procedures Manual. Effective Monday the following revised procedures apply: Lodging All employees are encouraged to stay with relatives and friends while on business travel. If weather permits, public areas such as parks should be used as temporary lodging sites. Bus terminals, train stations, and office lobbies may provide shelter in periods of inclement weather. Transportation Hitchhiking is the preferred mode of travel in lieu of commercial transport. Luminescent safety vests will be issued to all employees prior to their departure on business trips. Bus transportation will be used only when work schedules require such travel. Airline tickets will be authorized in extreme circumstances and the lowest fares will be used. For example, if a meeting is scheduled in Seattle, but the lower fare can be obtained by traveling to Detroit, then travel to Detroit will be substituted for travel to Seattle. Meals Expenditures for meals will be limited to an absolute minimum. It should be noted that certain grocery and specialty chains, such as Hickory Farms, General Nutrition centers, and, Costco, Sams stores etc. often provide free samples of promotional items. Entire meals can be obtained in this manner. Travelers should also be familiar with indigenous roots, berries, and other protein sources available at their destinations. If restaurants must be utilized, travelers should use “all you can eat” salad bars. This is especially effective for employees traveling together as one plate can be used to feed the entire group. Employees are also encouraged to bring their own food on business travel. Cans of tuna fish, Spam, and Beefaroni can be consumed at your leisure without the necessary bother of heating or costly preparation. Miscellaneous All employees are encouraged to devise innovative techniques in effort to save company dollars. One enterprising individual has already suggested that money could be raised during airport layover periods which could be used to defray travel expenses. In support of this idea, red caps will be issued to all employees prior to their departure so that they may earn tips by helping others with their luggage. Small plastic roses and ball point pens will also be available to employees so that sales may be made as time permits.
